Datsun redi-GO Sport limited edition goes official at Rs 3.49 lakhs

Nissan’s subsidiary car company Datsun announced the redi-GO compact hatchback in India to compete against Maruti’s popular Alto and the Renault Kwid at a competitive starting price of Rs 2.83 lakh. Today a limited edition of the car called the redi-GO Sport has been announced.
Priced at Rs 3.49 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) the new version features extras worth Rs 15,000 over the regular redi-GO top of the line variant. The car was launched by Olympic medalist Sakshi Malik, who will also be the first customer of the car.
The new redi-GO Sport gets a few exterior and interior cosmetic upgrades while maintaining the rest of the features including the mechanicals. It will get a themed grille with red accents, black finished wheel cover, roof spoiler, race decals across the bonnet and roof, sporty black interiors. The limited edition will also feature a rear parking sensor, remote keyless entry, Bluetooth audio system, and more. It will be available in three colour options – Ruby, White and Grey.
In terms of the engine, you still get the same 799cc three-cylinder petrol engine with a five-speed manual transmission that can churn out 53 bhp and maximum torque of 72Nm. The redi-GO Sport will be available exclusively during the festive season.
